LOS ANGELES Jan. 13, 2025 – A group of influencers from La Platica podcast, LYBRE Lashes, and REVEL Management Group have united to collect donations on Jan. 14 in Burbank, Calif., to aid those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires that have burned more than 30,000 acres in the past few days.
A new episode of La Platica podcast was released Monday, Jan. 13. The hosts, Josh Leyva and Sebastian Robles, spoke about the wildfires affecting the Los Angeles area at the beginning of this 2025. During the episode they announced a collaboration with LYBRE Lashes and REVEL Management Group on Tuesday, Jan. 14 to collect donations for the people that have been affected, including those who have lost their homes. The group is also working to assist the first responders currently supporting this emergency.
Influencers such as Leyva (@thejoshleyva on Instagram), Robles (@ayyysebas on Instagram), and Karen Robles (@iluvsarahii on Instagram), CEO of LYBRE Lashes, have shared the information through social media, reaching thousands of people. Items being requested include personal hygiene products, beauty products, sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, a variety of foods, storage, and school supplies, among others. The drive will take place at 632 S Glenwood Pl, Burbank, Calif. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“It is devastating to see how many of our people have lost their homes to the fires knowing how incredibly hard some of them have worked to be here. There are multiple families out there without a home to protect their kids,” says Irma Joya, a resident of downtown Los Angeles.
An ongoing series of 23 highly destructive wildfires has affected the Los Angeles metropolitan area since Jan. 7, 2025. At least 24 people have lost their lives in this catastrophe. The threat is increasing as powerful winds are expected to continue this week. Firefighters and other first responders are working tirelessly to extinguish the fires and prevent further losses.
